  » Industrial Designs
In order to register industrial designs You have to file an application, prepare drawings (photos) and pay the state fee (the application form and the list of state fees can be found on the home page of the Patent Office). An expert survey is not necessary when registering an industrial design.

So, a specialist of the Patent Office will only check if the documents have been correctly filed, and if no problems occur, a decision for the registration of the industrial design will be granted (usually within one or two months from the date of filing the application).

Within ten days after granting the decision for the registration of the industrial design, the industrial design will be entered into the State Register and a Certificate of the Industrial Design will be issued.

The registration is valid for five years from the date of filing the application. The registration can be renewed four times, five years at a time, and in order to be able to do that, you have to pay the state fee. The industrial design will be published in "Eesti Tööstusdisainileht".
